  1. WINDOWS LOTTO v1.0 is  a  powerful lotto  analysis  program  for
  2. Microsoft Windows 3.0+. The program features a comprehensive set
  3. of charts for  handicapping  lotto numbers. A Quick Pick  option
  4. picks the best  numbers  to play. The numbers picked can be used
  5. with  any of  the 24  wheeling systems  that are  included  with
  6. WINDOWS LOTTO. The program also checks the resulting tickets for
  7. winning matches. Context  sensitive  help is  available  for all
  8. items.

  10. WINDOWS LOTTO is compatible with all lotteries that pick 5, 6 or
  11. 7 numbers, including the new multi-state Powerball game.  A data
  12. file for the Florida lottery is  included so that you can easily
  13. evaluate the program.   When you register for WINDOWS LOTTO  you
  14. you  will  receive  an up-to-date data file for whatever lottery
  15. you play, at no extra charge.

  17. How to Get Started Quickly:

  19. You can put the WINDOWS LOTTO  files in  any directory.  WINDOWS
  20. LOTTO also requires VBRUN100.DLL.  VBRUN is used by hundreds  of
  21. pd/shareware programs and  is widely  available.  If you already
  22. have VBRUN, you do not have to do anything else.  If you  do not
  23. have it, you  can get  it from  Data Solutions  by sending $5 to
  24. cover shipping and handling.  You can  also download VBRUN  from
  25. CompuServe by typing GO MSBASIC, enter DL-5 at the Forum prompt,
  26. and BRO VBRUN*.* to find it.  VBRUN100.DLL should be copied into
  27. your Windows directory.

  29. After copying the WINDOWS LOTTO  files to the  directory of your
  30. choice, use the Windows Program Manager File-New menu options to
  31. add LOTTO.EXE to one of your Program Groups, if you wish to have
  32. it  readily  available.  Otherwise,  you can  run  it  with  the 
  33. File-Run option in Program Manager.

  35. WINDOWS LOTTO will automatically load a  data file at startup if
  36. you  pass it  the name  of the  data file  as a  parameter.  For
  37. example,  to automatically  load the  Florida  data file that is
  38. included with the program, type "LOTTO.EXE FLORDIA.DTA".

  40. The  file  PRODUCTS.DOC  contains  detailed information on other
  41. lotto  products  that  we  carry.  Registered  users  receive  a
  42. discount  on these products.  An  order form  is included in the
  43. file.

  48. You can print the WINDOWS LOTTO User's  manual by  clicking  on
  49. "Documentation" in the WINDOWS LOTTO Help menu.  It can also be
  50. printed by running Microsoft Write, and  then loading  the file
  51. WINLOTTO.WRI.

  66. Shareware  describes  a   method   of  distributing  copyrighted
  67. software in which a  user  is  allowed  to  fully  evaluate  the
  68. software before purchasing it.   After an evaluation period, the
  69. user is required to register the product if s/he decides to keep
  70. using it.

  73. complaints   that   users    have   with   commercial   software
  74. distribution.

  92. In short,  Shareware is a  user's  dream come true.   Users show
  93. their appreciation to developers  for  this  extremely  flexible
  94. distribution scheme by registering their software.  Without user
  95. registrations Shareware software would gradually disappear.   It
  96. is  not  sufficient  to  simply  let  the  "other  guy"  pay the
  97. registration.  You are the other guy's "other guy".

  102. Shareware is  not  "free"  software.    Shareware  is not Public
  103. Domain software.   The fee that you may have paid to  receive  a
  104. Shareware  program does not mean that the software has been paid
  105. for.   This money was  paid  to  a  Shareware disk vendor,  User
  106. Group, Bulletin Board Service or retailer to cover their cost of
  107. getting the program to you.   Shareware software is paid for  by
  108. registering your copy with the author.
